Compensation Filter Capacitor
Compensation Filter Capacitor with self-healing metallized polypropylene film, vacuum-dried windings, and sealed cylindrical aluminum case.
Overview
The Compensation Filter Capacitor uses self-healing advanced metallized polypropylene film wound on a concentric insulating tube for winding precision. Long vacuum drying supports stable operation. Three internal elements are connected in delta or star. The conductive metal electrode layers are vapor-deposited on one side of the film and connected by sprayed metal layers at both ends of each element. The capacitor is sealed in a cylindrical aluminum case using inert gas or oil-sand sealing technology.
Key features
- Equipped with a discharge resistor to reduce terminal voltage below 50V after power-off.
- Overpressure disconnection device disconnects the capacitor from the grid in the event of a fault.
- One-piece cylindrical aluminum alloy case for heat dissipation, light weight and compact size.
- Self-healing dielectric: a voltage breakdown causes localized heating, rapid evaporation and displacement of the metal layer around the breakdown point, forming an insulating area within microseconds and leaving the capacitor intact during and after breakdown.
- Explosion-proof device: under sustained internal fault, increased temperature and internal pressure deform and lift the overpressure protection device; when internal pressure reaches the lower limit, the device operates and disconnects the capacitor from the grid.
